• Presidential candidates sign oaths in line with the religious right’s dogma
o Do these people really believe these things or are they just saying what their base wants to hear?
o Michael Barkann and her husband run a Christian counseling center that uses prayer to turn homosexuals strait
o Chris points out that we need to be careful that when we correct the religious right they often do not see the facts, rather they see it as they are being picked on
o Tom talks how it is possible to flood people with so much misinformation that that one can overwhelm people so they accept everything as fact.
 It takes one sentence to tell a lie, but a paragraph to debunk it.
• Hear what some of the ministers that support Rick Perry have to say!
o They will be speaking at Perry’s prayer event.
o Perry is currently the Governor of Texas who may run for president
Perry is hosting the prayer event because he says prayer is the only thing that will save the country.

• These quotes and activities are clear evidence that the religious right are violating the constitution
o This shows the confusion of the religious right who often claim that America is an exclusively a Christian Nation

Daily acts of devotional activity, reverence, charity, compassion to an extent that simply isn’t seen here in the US. In Tibet they seem to live their religion to an extent that just does not exist here. We don’t have very many (if any) truly sacred sites, and much of our religious practices are based on merely talk.
